GUIDELINES FOR POSTER PRESENTERS:

  • Before the Conference
    • Check requirements: Poster size, orientation, and layout rules.

    • Content to include:

      • Title, authors, affiliations, logos

      • Introduction, objectives, methods, results, conclusion

      • Key visuals: graphs, tables, images

      • Acknowledgements and references (brief)

    • Design tips:

      • Clear, simple layout (2–3 columns)

      • Readable fonts (Title ≥85 pt, Text ≥24 pt)

      • High-contrast colors and minimal text

      • Use high-quality images and clear captions

      • Add a QR code for extra resources

  • During the Presentation

    • Arrive 30 min early to set up.

    • Prepare a 2–3 minute pitch about your poster.

    • Be friendly and approachable:

      • Smile and engage visitors

      • Adjust your explanation for experts or non-specialists

    • Have handouts or a QR code with your contact info.



GUIDELINES FOR ORAL PRESENTATIONS:

  • Before the Conference

    • Know the rules: Time limit, presentation format (PowerPoint, PDF, etc.), and technical setup.

    • Structure your talk:

      1. Title Slide – title, authors, affiliations, logos

      2. Introduction – background & objectives

      3. Methods – concise, clear visuals

      4. Results – key findings with graphs/images

      5. Discussion – interpretation & significance

      6. Conclusion & Future Work – take-home message

      7. Acknowledgements & References (if needed)

    • Design tips:

      • 1 slide per minute (About 10 slides for 10 minutes)

      • Minimal text – focus on visuals and key points

      • Large fonts (≥24 pt), simple and clear graphics

  • During the Presentation

    • Arrive early to test equipment and upload slides.

    • Start strong: introduce yourself and your research clearly.

    • Engage the audience:

      • Speak slowly and clearly

      • Make eye contact

      • Avoid reading directly from slides

    • Respect time limits: rehearse to stay within your slot.

  • Handling Questions

    • Listen carefully and repeat the question if needed.

    • Answer concisely and professionally.

    • If you don’t know the answer, acknowledge it and suggest a follow-up.
